TANZANIA : UDOM WIFI GONE COMMERCIAL - AIRTEL TZ WIFI ZONE

APPRECIATING the fact that Dodoma as the designated capital city is the fastest growing urban area in the country and home to the biggest university, Airtel Tanzania has continued with its tradition of providing excellent services to its consumers across the country.

Airtel Tanzania has launched UNI Wi-Fi at the University of Dodoma (UDOM) to enable students at the institutions which accommodates over 60,000 students and members of the academic community access high speed internet at affordable rates.

Speaking during the launch of the service at the University of Dodoma (UDOM), Airtel Customer Services Director Adriana Lyamba said at the weeked:

“We are launching Airtel UNI Wi-Fi affordable internet services for students. “We have also switch-on our second new sophisticated mobile site which we believe will strengthen our network around UDOM and reinforce social and economic wellbeing for people living around.”

She said the goal of the firm was to ensure continued provision of innovative and relevant services that would suit customer’s needs.

“Our plan is to enable all universities across the country with affordable data services through our new launched UNI Wi-Fi service,” added Ms Lyamba.

Airtel UNI Wi-Fi Marketing Manager, Ms Aneth Muga, said “Airtel wifi will be available for any student here at UDOM, just be in possession Wi-Fi compatible device such as a smartphone, laptop, tablet, camera and printer.

“Any student at UDOM regardless of the mobile network can use Airtel UNI Wi-Fi services, he/she can buy Uni Wi-Fi Vouchers which is available 24-hours daily, weekly, monthly and all night bundles,” Aneth said.

UDOM Dean of Student, Mr Dick Manong, applauded the telecom firm for introducing the service. “I am confident that this service will enhance learning capacity and keep students updated on all current affairs both locally and globally,” he said.
